Surfing Dogs in San Diego
This fall, the Residence Inn San Diego Poway, managed by Huntington Hotel Group, partnered with the Residence Inn Brand’s Local Culture Council as sponsors at the annual “Helen Woodward Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon.” As impossible as it may seem, over 60 dogs participated in the event , which raised over $150,000 for the Helen Woodward Animal Center, a no-kill animal shelter in San Diego.
The Residence Inn booth included a prize wheel with dog toys and prizes that drew a lot of attention. There were volunteers from 11 San Diego Residence Inn locations supporting the cause and promoting the brand’s dog friendliness!
The area Residence Inns also sold “PAWS” at their front desks, donations that went to support Helen Woodward adoption efforts. Congratulations and a huge thanks to the Residence Inn San Diego Poway for their contributions to the animal community!
